Berkeley City Councilmember and Fmr. Vice Mayor Ben Bartlett is a nationally recognized policy leader. Since 2016, Ben has passed more than 60 measures focused on innovation, opportunity, and inclusion, including:

Ben is currently working to integrate government and Blockchain through public finance, currencies, and data markets.
Ben authored Berkeley’s Tokenized Debt Offering (Berkeley ICO) using blockchain technology to issue bonds. He is author of the Smart Path Blockchain investment and policy thesis. Professionally, Ben is a partner in Tackett Bartlett LLP where he provides counsel for Blockchain entrepreneurs, governments, and funds.
Michelle co-founded a blockchain payments startup in 2015 and is a strategic advisor to a number of AI, blockchain and 3D printing companies. She is also a mentor for SVI Academy and Hack Temple, which are both tech incubators located in the United States. Michelle Tsing was an attorney at PayPal. Prior to PayPal, she was at Cisco, eBay, Samsung and Apple.
She founded Robotics for Good: Chatbots, Messaging and AI community; and donates her time to The Loving AI/XPRIZE Project and both the California Blockchain Advocacy Coalition and the Georgia Blockchain Coalition. She is also producer and host of Laptop Radio at Stanford University.
Ms. Ferratusco’s values encompass blockchain and decentralization, new ideas around governance, sustainable living,
and a future predicated on zero waste.
Gurinder has been involved in the Crypto World since 2013. As an avid developer who always dabbled in new Tech, Gurinder has a large knowledge of blockchain, distributed ledger technology, smart contracts, and decentralization. Before getting into Blockchain he was building Android & iOS Apps and now he has created 2 Mobile Apps that run on his own private Blockchain.
During the day, Gurinder develops and deploys blockchains and smart contracts. During nights and weekends, he either teaches or oversees the Blockchain Education at DEN. There’s nothing better to him than seeing that shine in people’s eyes when they interact with a smart contract for the first time!
Debray is the co-creator of Blockchain-and-Grill, an eclectic series of events aimed at demystifying and building community around blockchain technology while creating a platform for local comedians and artists. Debray is a freelance software engineer with solid proficiencies is graphic and web design.
Alexandra Damsker is a securities attorney with over 15 years of experience.
She trained with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and international
law firm Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw before starting her own successful
securities practice. Mrs. Damsker founded two profitable startups (biotech and
consumer packaged goods industries), with one exit.
Mrs. Damsker has written a variety of articles and talks relating to US regulation.
These addressed a variety of legal topics, including securities, the Foreign
Corrupt Practices Act, legal implications for US companies manufacturing in
China, the impact of various forms of technology on industries, electronic
communication and securities issues, and blockchain regulatory issues. She has
been published in various locations including Huffington Post, Time.com, and
Business Insider, as well as journals, such as American Banker. She also co-
edited a treatise on securities law, and wrote a practitioners’ manual on US
regulatory issues on trusts and estates.
Mrs. Damsker is considered one of the top women in blockchain. She has been
invited to speak at events of various sizes, including NASDAQ, the LendIt
Fintech Conference, CryptoBlockCon, the Fintech Disrupt Conference, the
Family Office Marketplace Lending and Alternative Financing Summit, Tech
Tuesday at Davos, Discover Blockchain, PG Gaming Summit, Women in
Blockchain, Bitcoin Rodeo Blockchain and Technology Symposium, and the
European Fintech Disruption Summit and the data science IDEAS conference.
She currently serves as regulatory and business strategy advisor to several
companies, directors, investors and attorneys.
Malcolm is currently the CEO of Bbuck.io which is a crypto platform that pays gamers for their Fortnite wins.
He is a lifelong gamer and political scientist from the University of Washington.
He has worked at many different startups in the past. He was first introduced to blockchain technology in 2017 after interning for a former goldman sachs analyst in Washington D.C.
He has been actively researching and trading in the space ever since.
Brady Gentile is a Product Marketing Manager at Hedera Hashgraph, the enterprise-grade public network for decentralized applications. His previous experience includes working at the open source distributed database company DataStax, and security company Cloudflare. Brady’s responsible for engaging and educating developer and consumer audiences about distributed ledger technologies and their game-changing use cases
Talk Title: Decentralize your enterprise: Requirements for public DLT adoption
Abstract: For public distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) to be considered for enterprise adoption, they must satisfy the fundamental criteria of performance, security, stability, and governance. In this presentation, we’ll be taking a deep-dive into why we’re ripe for decentralization and what decentralization actually means, each of the facets required for enterprise adoption of public DLTs, and some real-world public DLT use cases beginning to surface across industry verticals. Radhika Iyengar-Emens is Managing Partner of DoubleNova Group, a Silicon Valley-based
blockchain consultancy and ICO advisory. She is a TEDx speaker, a Silicon Valley Woman of
Influence, a serial entrepreneur, a crypto investor and an expert in blockchain, digital health
and global entrepreneurship. She is raising a new blockchain VC fund named StarChain
Ventures. Radhika has been a keynote and panel speaker at Stanford University, Google, UC
Berkeley and prominent blockchain and healthcare conferences in Silicon Valley and
Multilingual in 9 languages, Radhika is a global business advisor to high tech startups and digital
health companies from Europe, Israel, Asia and Latin America. She is an expert in ICO and
Silicon Valley fundraising, international expansion and business acceleration. Radhika is an
advisor to governments and has setup and run accelerators and US market access programs for
top startups. She has raised over $60 million for advised startups.
Radhika is a passionate advocate for women in technology and diversity, an Advisory Board
Member at Women in Technology International (WITI) and an active speaker on Women in
Blockchain panels and at global women’s conferences. She holds an A.B. from Bryn Mawr
College and an MBA from Chapman University.

I’ve recently lead a complete business systems transformation for CSAA Insurance Group replacing 30-year-old legacy applications (and infrastructure), leading a team of 250 employees and 600 contractors. This transformational effort introduced new technology (both cloud & on-prem solutions) into every facet of our insurance business.
Most currently as CTO, we developed a new low-cost, discounted insurance product pulling together 11 application systems into a single customer-facing, digital, self-service experience that was deployed in 15 months.
I am currently looking at roles leading technology transformation as well as executive consulting roles where my deep experience can help other companies succeed.
Mark Javier is an Account Executive in the Blockchain space. During the Initial Coin Offering boom in 2017, he joined Ambisafe, a global capital markets and blockchain infrastructure provider. He has consulted with companies both in the United States and abroad during the issuance of their token and the launch of their ICO.
He is currently an Account Executive at Securitize, the leader in Digital Security Offerings. Securitize raised a $12,800,000 Series A round in November of 2018. Included among their investors are Coinbase Ventures, Blockchain Capital, and Ripple.
Securitize’s DS Protocol has the highest adoption rate in the security token space among secondary trading platforms. Notable clients are Blockchain Capital and the St. Regis Aspen Resort (Aspencoin).
Jenny Kassan, Jenny Kassan Consulting
Jenny has over two decades of experience as an attorney and advisor for mission-driven enterprises. She has helped her clients raise millions of dollars from values-aligned investors and raised over $1.5 million dollars for her own businesses. Jenny is certified as a coach by the International Association of Women in Coaching. She is the author of Raise Capital on Your Own Terms: How to Fund Your Business
without Selling Your Soul (Berrett-Koehler, October 2017).
Jenny earned her J.D. from Yale Law School and a masters degree in City and
Regional Planning from the University of California at Berkeley.
She served on the Securities and Exchange Commission Advisory Committee on Small
and Emerging Companies. She submitted the petition to the SEC that led to the
passage of the 2012 JOBS Act and was present at the White House signing ceremony.
Jenny is also a fellow at Democracy Collaborative and the co-founder of the Force for Good Fund.
Before becoming a securities lawyer, Jenny worked for eleven years at a nonprofit
community development corporation in Oakland, where she served as staff attorney and managed community economic development projects including the formation and management of several social ventures designed to employ and create business
ownership opportunities for low-income community residents.
Jenny is the President of Community Ventures, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the economic and social development of communities. She also co-founded the Sustainable Economies Law Center, a nonprofit that provides legal information to
support sustainable economies.
Jenny was a director of Berrett-Koehler Publishers. She is a member of the Content

Onki Kwan is outside general counsel at Vangardium Legal, LLP a law firm specializing in blockchain and technology startups in their early stages. Ms. Kwan is experienced in corporate formation, founder agreements, share issuance, equity crowdfunding, token sales and private placements.
Ranzel is the Founder and CEO of MPrise, a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) focused on developing consumer and enterprise products built for data preservation and security. He has worked and toured with Grammy award winners, Solange Knowles and Macy Gray with David Murray’s Big Band in January of 2013. Ranzel was an original member of the musical group Poplyfe that placed 4th place on America’s Got Talent T.V. Show in 2011.
Laura is the Founder and Managing Partner of Accel Impact, which includes Accel.AI, a global Non-Profit Institute lowering the barriers to entry in engineering artificial intelligence, and the Latinx in AI Coalition an initiative to create harmony and opportunity for Latinx in AI. She has been described as a natural and versatile leader with a passion for AI, Computer Science, Research, and Psychology. She has a Bachelors of Science in Biology, Physical Science, and Human Development. She jumpstarted her career in software engineering at Intuit revamping their Quickbooks online platform. Nadeem Mazen is an award winning serial entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in viral marketing and interactive software. He holds his B.Sc. from MIT, where he focused on software and media strategies for user-engagement and retention. Mazen founded danger!awesome, a 3d printing and laser cutting startup funded by TechStars in 2016 and acquired in 2017. He also founded and helmed Nimblebot, an award winning software development, video production, and viral dissemination agency, serving clients like Samsung, Revlon, IBM, McGraw-Hill, Mozilla, Fight for The Future, Reddit, Consumer Technology Association, and other innovative brands. Kevin L. Nichols has worked in multifaceted capacities in some of the most prolific international law firms in the country, such as Morrison & Foerster, Paul Hastings, Heller Ehrman, and Hollan?d & Knight. His interest in diversity and technology began while he was a mechanical engineering/diversity intern at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Later, he became the Executive Director of the California Diversity Council and the African American Wellness Project. Kevin has become a social networking expert and full-time consultant specializing in litigation technology (eDiscovery), diversity, and social media marketing for the legal industry.
Nichols has been featured on LinkedIn’s Hall of Fame, Yahoo’s Blog, in the Examiner, CNN Money, Reuters, MarketWatch and the Wall Street Journal. Millions saw Kevin while logging in to LinkedIn.com from 2011-2014. He is now the Founder of The Social Engineering Project, Inc., an Oakland based, Google and Microsoft funded, social impact venture with Stanford University designed to address the lack of diversity in the tech industry.

JANICE WILLIAMS OLIVER
Because of her corporate, consulting and entrepreneurial experiences, Janice has the ability to step into nearly any situation and be able to hit the ground running, delivering value. Years of working on diverse brands/businesses at different stages of their life cycle in various industries honed, her expertise to exhibit situational fluency. Understanding strategy and tactics plus balancing C-suite demands with customer expectations are skills I have used throughout her career.
Recently, Janice restructured a marketing department to focus on lead generation, managing its digital/email marketing and SEO initiatives. Under her leadership, she segmented the database that grew to over 30,000 names and created targeted newsletter content for the different audience groups.
Her proficiency includes conducting customer interviews, analyzing internal customer data plus external research to create buyer personas. She enjoys learning how a customer engages throughout the customer relationship sales cycle.
